More Essential Oils for Colds & Flu

Colds & Flu:

Oregano Oil
A couple of my family use oregano oil in capsules. I like this for food poisoning.

dilute it with carrier oil (olive, coconut, almond, etc.) and rub on the feet, which is a common way to administer essential oils.

Diffusion of Essential Oils in to the air (Aromatherapy)

Chest congestion, hacking cough: carrier oil with some or all of these mixed in: couple drops each of: Lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus. Or add drops of these oils to a hot bath along with your Epsom salt.

Peppermint Oil is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal!

For a sore throat, sparingly dip a cotton swab into mint oil and carefully apply to the back of the tongue area. Relieve congestion by rubbing a few drops of peppermint oil on chest & covering with warm compress.

Add a few drops of mint oil to the water of a humidifier or vaporizer to keep it smelling fresh and kill germs.

No menthols on babies younger than 6 months.
